Job Summary:Catering Server

Attend to Guests with a warm, pleasant, efficient, and timely manner and show attentiveness to their desires. Observe responsible alcohol service practices in line with Golden Corral Dining's policy and relevant state and local regulations.
Responsibilities for Catering Server:
- Possess adept knowledge of the menu to present our offerings to customers, update them on current food promotions and specials, and respond to any questions they may have.
- Efficiently jots down food and drink orders on guest tickets and promptly inputs them into the POS system before serving, using appropriate abbreviations and pricing.
- Serves guests by promptly conveying food and drinks, involving the task of obtaining orders from the kitchen and delivering them to customers within the server's section or any other designated part of the restaurant.
- Competence in assessing guest demeanor and recognizing the need to alert a Manager about certain behaviors, even within the jurisdiction of other team members.
- Implement alcohol awareness protocols to identify age, prevent intoxication, and address intoxicated individuals in line with company alcohol rules.
- Validate the accuracy of financial transactions and uphold precision when giving change in coins.
- Execute transactions through credit card terminals correctly.
- Offers accurate change calculations and promptly returns the appropriate amount to the guest.
- Sustains table neatness through pre-clearing, monitoring drink levels, tidying up, and ensuring an adequate napkin supply.
- Maintains station hygiene, sets up and removes station tables in an appropriate fashion.
- Undertakes shift change and opening or closing tasks as required.
- Adheres strictly to the safety and sanitation guidelines established within the company.
- Gives aid to fellow team members as necessary or when dictated by business requirements.
- Establishes and sustains positive relationships with all company team members to support a cohesive work environment and elevate team motivation.
- Portrays Golden Corral in a positive light consistently.
- Ensures that work zones are kept clean and that tools, equipment, and supplies are stored appropriately.
Requirements for Catering Server:
- Adept at both speaking and writing in the English language with ease
- Projecting a polished and well-groomed image is key to making a positive impression
- Steadfast stamina for lengthy or separated shifts
- Sustain a standing position for a long time
- Able to be flexible with working hours as needed
- Highly Collaborative Nature
- Portray a heightened state of emergency
- Capable of picking up 25 pounds multiple times every day
- Preferably, applicants should have one year of experience dealing with cash
- Experience in serving roles is preferred
