Job Description: Hotel Bartender

The essential functions and responsibilities that are crucial to the position:

• Adheres to the laws and policies concerning the serving of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated customers at both the state and federal levels, as well as within the company.
• Establishes designated drinking areas; requests and replenishes stocks of beer selections, wine options, alcoholic beverages, paper goods, mixing tools, garnishes, glassware, ice supplies, and fresh perishables.
• Supervises inventory, readies, treats, and caches all newly acquired fruit and vegetable decorations, juices, and other quick-to-spoil goods to ensure the quality of the product.
• Provides a friendly and polite greeting to guests.
• Takes, prepares, and serves beverage requests, ensuring accuracy in mixing, garnishing, and portioning drinks.
• Reviews guests' IDs at the bar to verify they are of legal drinking age.
• Identifies and responds to intoxicated individuals as per guidelines. Demonstrates understanding of liquor laws.
• Takes cash payments from guests, provides correct change, verifies the accuracy of charges, records transactions, and ensures the proper completion of vouchers.
• Secures all beverage products, food items, equipment, deposits, and cash drops through proper locking and storage measures.
• Performs basic cleaning tasks to follow health and safety standards; ensures that the work area is clean and arranged appropriately.
• Keeps the bar area visually appealing by arranging bottles and glasses in an attractive display.
• Makes stemware free from dirt and contaminants through washing and sterilization.
• Executes further responsibilities as directed.
