Job Summary

Welcomes guests with kindness, records detailed food and beverage requests in a respectful and competent manner, and ensures prompt, precise delivery of all items to visitors in the dining section, upholding a high level of attentiveness and service proficiency to ensure guest gratification.

Vital functions and responsibilities:

• Provide a swift and friendly reception to diners in the restaurant; serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to established service procedures.
• Maintains a commitment to prompt and professional food delivery, along with strict adherence to safe food handling practices and sanitation standards. Periodically follows up to provide assistance with any further needs or requests.
• Shows a complete understanding of the menu items and the ingredients they incorporate. Provides suggestions to customers on fitting food and drink combinations when requested; accommodates reasonable inquiries and acknowledges preferences. When relevant, demonstrates awareness of specialized diets and allergens.
• Directly liaises with kitchen staff to validate order accuracy and fulfill any special customer instructions effectively.
• Exhibits superb communication skills and demonstrates an ability to establish harmonious relationships with others. Shows flexibility and patience in dealing with guests and colleagues.
• Performs ticket collection duties and follows the appropriate cash-handling procedures.
• Upholds the promotion of a sanitary and secure setting for visitors.
• Prioritizes the protection of personal or medical information shared, showing a high level of sensitivity.
• Addresses complaints or problems in a timely manner and communicates relevant information or complaints directly to the supervisor.
• Assures the dining area is arranged correctly before and after service, conforming to sanitation norms and cleanliness.
• Uses different types of equipment such as firefighting tools, phones, drink dispensers, and coffee machines during work duties.
• Assists in performing job responsibilities alongside staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Completes supplementary assignments as needed.
