Position Title: Food runner
Job Summary: The Food Runner is a vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that guests receive their meals accurately, promptly, and with a high standard of presentation. This position supports both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, maintaining strong communication and coordination to provide a seamless and satisfying guest experience. The ideal candidate is efficient, attentive, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers prepared food from the kitchen to guests in the dining room quickly and efficiently, ensuring all items are served at the appropriate temperature and with proper presentation.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of menu items and modifications to ensure orders are delivered correctly and guest inquiries can be addressed accurately.
- Follows all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines while handling food and equipment, in compliance with company standards and local regulations.
- Communicates effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure order accuracy and to coordinate timing between courses.
- Provides courteous and professional interactions with guests, responding to requests and inquiries promptly to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Assists in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment in both kitchen and dining areas.
- Completes assigned side duties, such as stocking, polishing utensils, setting up or breaking down service stations, and general cleaning tasks.
- Collaborates with team members to uphold company service standards and ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
