Job Summary

Greets patrons warmly, accurately notes food and beverage orders in a courteous and professional way, and ensures swift, precise delivery of all items to guests in the dining room, maintaining a high degree of attentiveness and service quality throughout the dining experience for guest contentment.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Greet guests in the dining room promptly and warmly; deliver food and drinks in an efficient manner, following prescribed steps of service.
• Ensures food is promptly and professionally delivered, with a strong emphasis on safe food handling and sanitation standards. Regularly checks in to offer help with any additional requirements or requests.
• Demonstrates a full comprehension of the menu offerings and the ingredients contained within. Advises diners on appropriate food and beverage combinations when sought; accommodates fair requests and recognizes individual preferences. When appropriate, exhibits knowledge of specialized dietary restrictions and allergens.
• Coordinates with back-of-house team members to confirm order accuracy and make necessary accommodations for special requests.
• Displays remarkable communication prowess and illustrates a talent for building positive relationships with others. Remains flexible and patient in communication with guests and team members.
• Responsible for collecting tickets and adhering to the correct protocols for managing cash.
• Champions the creation of a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Respects the privacy and confidentiality of any personal or medical information that is shared.
• Deals promptly with complaints or issues and ensures that any relevant information or complaints are relayed directly to the supervisor.
• Prepares and maintains the dining room layout before and after service, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.
• Utilizes various machines and tools like fire extinguishers, telephones, drink dispensers, and coffee brewers in daily operations.
• Partners with employees from different departments to achieve job duties at special events and functions.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as directed.
