Job Summary of Catering Runner:

Serves and delivers food at designated catering occasions with oversight from the Catering Captain to ensure the successful realization of events. Potentially operates a catering delivery vehicle as required. Accountable for arranging, serving, cleaning, and restocking supplies and gear.

Core responsibilities and duties:

• Organize and distribute food and supplies for various catered occasions.
• Monitor and uphold correct temperatures for food preservation.
• Organize the tables, decorations, and buffet displays.
• Provide food and drinks to diners.
• Ensure the event space is kept tidy before, during, and after any gatherings.
• Ensure that any excess food, equipment, and utensils are promptly taken back to the catering facility.
• Oversee the dissemination and collection of feedback forms from visitors.
• Regularly tidy up and uphold the cleanliness of the catering establishment and its machinery.
• Maintain an attitude of helpfulness and respect in every interaction.
• Ensure you are well-versed in the selection of dishes and available goods.
• Consistently follow safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Ensure a safe and tidy work setting is maintained at all times.
• Carry out any other responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications for Catering Runner:

• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler’s permit and/or alcohol server’s permit.
