The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and order of dishes, utensils, and cooking implements, contributing to the smooth running of the kitchen.
Key Duties and Responsibilities for Dishroom Attendant:
- Scrapes and rinses remnants of food off dirty dishes before either hand-washing them or transferring them onto dishwashing equipment for effective cleaning and sanitization.
- Cleans kitchenware such as pots, pans, and trays using specified protocols to achieve optimal cleanliness.
- Applies different techniques, including the use of a burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth, as per provided guidelines to buff silver objects. Ensures the utmost cleanliness and sanitation in the process.
- Verifies that the defined safety procedures are complied with.
- Regulates temperatures and chemical metrics based on established criteria.
- Keeps the dishwashing station in order and follows safety protocols.
- Ensures kitchen floors are swept and mopped to meet safety and sanitation criteria.
- Wipes down worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other surfaces involved in food preparation.
- Cleans trash cans by either steaming or rinsing them to maintain cleanliness and proper waste disposal.
- Relocates equipment and materials to different areas within a facility.
- Provides support in the movement of supplies and products, aiding in both loading and unloading tasks.
- Handles any other assigned responsibilities.
