Job Summary of Custodian:

As a critical member of the team, the Custodian is entrusted with the important task of maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen items and workspaces.

Primary Job Duties for Custodian:

• Performs the task of removing and rinsing food residue from soiled dishes, then proceeds to wash them either by hand or by loading onto racks or conveyor for dishwashing machine operation, with a primary focus on achieving complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Adheres to prescribed steps for washing pots, pans, and trays to ensure thorough cleanliness and sanitation.
• Preserves the luster of silver items through the utilization of a burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth as instructed. Adheres strictly to cleanliness and sanitation protocols.
• Validates that the prescribed safety procedures are adhered to.
• Monitors and adjusts temperatures and chemical levels to align with provided standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety protocols in the dishwashing station.
• Adheres to safety protocols by regularly sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Manages the cleanliness of worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep areas.
• Cleans up garbage by placing it in designated containers and employing steam cleaning or hosing for sanitation of trash bins.
• Moves supplies and machinery between storage rooms and designated workstations.
• Supports the loading and unloading of supplies and products by actively participating in the process.
• Undertakes other tasks as instructed.
