Job Summary of Sales Clerk:

Performs responsibilities at the cash register, such as processing cash transactions, balancing cash register funds, providing accurate change, tallying cash earnings, and finalizing cash documentation. This role may also involve engaging in various tasks within the food service domain. Upholds cleanliness protocols within the cooking, customer service, and dining areas.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Proficiency in fundamental mathematical concepts and the capacity to manage financial transactions correctly.
• A positive demeanor coupled with strong communication and effective issue-resolving abilities.
• Capacity to remain upright for extended durations and operate in a bustling, occasionally demanding environment.
• Compliance with consistent dress codes and cleanliness regulations.

Core responsibilities and duties that must be fulfilled:

• Completes sales transactions promptly.
• Records all sales in the cash register to guarantee precise documentation of transactions.
• Accepts declining balance cards and other approved payment methods; provides receipts to patrons while facilitating transactions.
• Adheres to established protocols when processing cash reimbursements.
• Engages with clients and addresses their concerns in a polite and helpful way.
• In charge of managing all designated change funds and cash receipts to maintain compliance with the standard for overages and shortages.
• Watches customers' selections in the cafe queue and distinguishes between regular serving sizes.
• Ensures that condiments, coffee, beverages, and supplies are restocked and service areas are kept clean.
• Ensures the pastry display case remains well-supplied.
• Guarantees adherence to company service expectations and protocols for managing inventory and cash flow.
• Ensures adherence to sanitation, ServSafe, and safety regulations.
• Carries out additional tasks as required.
